Kim Hunt
Power Vinyasa

Kim first began her Journey with Yoga in 2000. After trying various classes she was introduced to the Baptiste Power Flow by “Yoga Jane”. She fell in love with the Baptiste

Flow and was inspired by Jane’s teaching. While healing from a back injury and working with a physical therapist she realized that the stronger her core was, and the more she stretched her warm muscles the more she became stronger and her back was healing with no surgery. She learned it doesn’t matter what shape you are in or what age you are Every“body” can benefit from yoga and meditation. She wanted to become a teacher so she could share her love of Yoga and share with her students that they can start today, right where they are in this moment, and to love themselves in the process. She is a 200hr RYT graduate of Believe You Can 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training School under Jane Viscolosi and is a Certified Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance. She teaches a Power Yoga Flow. When she is not on her mat or busy with the 9-5 corporate world she loves spend time with her family, nieces and nephews and friends. The ocean is one of her favorite places to be and paddle boarding and Sup yoga has become a new favorite pastime.

Katie Twist
Restorative Yoga

Katie first began practicing yoga in 2001 when she stumbled into a Hatha class during college. After studying both Hatha and Iyengar styles, Katie found, and fell in love with, the Baptiste Power Flow. Yoga and meditation bring calm, clarity, peace and equanimity into Katie’s otherwise hectic life juggling Corporate America with raising two wonderfully energetic young boys. Katie completed the 200-hour teacher training program at Raffa Yoga in January 2013 and is so excited to share her love of yoga with others. When Katie isn’t at work, or on her mat, you can find her building Lego sculptures with her boys, planting in her garden, playing at the beach, or whipping up healthy treats in the kitchen

Brooke Huemann
Vinyasa Flow

Brooke first fell in love with yoga years ago while living in Houston, Texas where a friend recommended she try Bikram yoga. She loved the heat and the sweat and the discipline and how empowered she felt after completing (and enjoying) a workout not many people find enjoyable. The physical benefits were amazing and exciting, but the mental and emotional benefits were what made a lasting impact. Fast forward a few years and a few states later, Brooke was presented with the opportunity to become certified yoga instructor through Jane Viscolosi’s Believe You Can 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training School in Bristol, RI. From an early age Brooke knew that helping others find their inner strength was what she wanted to make a career out of, so she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Houston Baptist University before moving to Rhode Island at the beginning of 2017. She strongly believes that her students are the only ones who truly know what they are feeling and what they need. She sees herself as a guide and friend offering suggestions and starting points to help her students find what feels good and is healing in their bodies. Using her intuition, background in psychology and trauma, and invaluable knowledge and experienced gained through her teacher training experience and personal yoga practice, Brooke hopes to hold space for non-judgment, self-exploration, self-love, and hopefully a little fun and laughter!

Lisa Jacques
Vinyasa Flow

Lisa started her yoga practice 19 years ago, when she was introduced to Ashtanga yoga.  Yoga has been part of her life since then to help with weight loss, health management, and most recently therapy to heal an injury.  Yoga for healing of the mind and body led her to get her 200 hour RYT yoga teacher certification at Raffa Yoga in 2018. She is also a Barre Above certified trainer as well as a Reiki Level 2 practitioner.  When not practicing yoga, she works in education as a district level administrator for a local public school district. Classic Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations), asana (poses), and pranayama (breathing) sequences in her Vinyasa classes will focus on proper alignment for therapeutic healing of the mind and body. She also enjoys teaching Yin Yoga which focuses on improving flexibility while calming the nervous system and the mind.  Yin Yoga is a great compliment to more Yang practices such as Power and Vinyasa yoga. She looks forward to seeing you on your mat!
